Tips for searching
Here's how to register
You have found what you are looking for and would like to write to your mentor of choice? You are one step ahead:
The mentors provide their help on a voluntarily basis. They are the pillars of the mentoring program and thus an important part of the Alumni Community. So that we know that you also value this activity, we ask you in the next step to become part of the alumni community free of charge. In the form section "Career Mentoring Program" you can request an access code for full access to the mentoring platform and write to your favorite mentor.
become part of the alumni community
You are already part of the alumni community? Wonderful! Then please request your access code directly by email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
3. Step: Application
As soon as a mentor receives a request from you, he or she will also get an insight into the information you have provided in your profile in the sections "My data", "My current situation", "My goal(s)" and "What kind of help do I wish for". The information in these three fields therefore corresponds to the cover letter of your mentoring application. Then you send your mentoring request off.
If you have any questions about your application details or need assistance with this, please contact the mentoring team.
4. Step: first meeting
If the mentor accept a request, mentor and mentee are connected in the chat area of the website and can arrange the initial meeting. The first meeting serves to get to know each other and to clarify basic questions about the mentorship. During the meeting you will decide together if you want to start a mentorship. If yes, the mentees will make notes for the mentoring agreement.
5. step: the mentoring agreement
The framework agreements discussed at the first meeting are transferred by the mentees into the "Mentoring Agreement", which can be found in the Mentoring profile area as soon as a mentorship request has been positively answered. The agreement is storted by mentees in the system and then sent to the mentor for approval. Mentors are informed in the system that this step is now necessary for them. If both sides have agreed, you are officially in a mentorship together. Of course, the mentoring agreement can be changed and adapted at any time.
